　　One of the most anticipated Chinese animated films, Big Fish & Begonia hit the big screen this summer after 12 years in production. However, the animated work soon became the center of public dispute because of its seemingly over-simplified or less-convincing plot, even if it was a big success in ticket sales.

　　《摇滚藏獒》Rock Dog

　　另一部观众十分期待，而上映引发争议的动画片就是《摇滚藏獒》。该影片是由中国著名歌手郑钧原创动画片改编而成的。该片讲述了生于雪山村的藏獒波弟从小与世隔绝，在一次偶然的机会接触到摇滚乐后，决心去追求自己的音乐梦想的故事。

　　Another animated film that enjoyed much anticipation yet exploded into debate is Rock Dog. The production was adapted from an original cartoon created by well-known Chinese singer Zhen Jun. The movie fellows a young Tibetan mastiff who pursues his musical dream.

　　与梦工厂合作，这部电影堪称是好莱坞水准高质量并且叙事方式成熟。然而，评论家们却说这部电影太过于"好莱坞路线"，没有为观众带来任何惊喜。此外，这部电影的中文配音也被普遍认为太不专业。

　　Co-produced with DreamWorks, the movie is a Hollywood-standard work with high quality and a mature storytelling approach. However, critics claimed that the movie follows too closely to "Hollywood routine", which brings no surprises to audiences. Also, the film's Chinese dubbing is widely considered unprofessional.

　　《百鸟朝凤》Song of the Phoenix

　　《百鸟朝凤》这部影片制作精良，娓娓道来，情节感人。然而其票房却十分不理想，也导致了倍受争议的"下跪"事件。

　　Song of the Phoenixis is nicely produced, the stories well told, plots touching. Yet its box office was nothing but disappointment, which led to the controversial "kneeling down" incident.

　　面对十分惨淡的票房，63岁的电影制片人方励在镜头前下跪并在线直播，哭求影院把该片在黄金时段。然而，方励的行为既得到了掌声也得到了批评。

　　Facing a floundering box office, film producer Fang Li kneeled down in front of the camera and broadcast it online, crying and begging for theaters to screen the film during prime time. Fang's behavior drew both applause and criticism. People's Daily commented that Fang's move lost him his professional dignity.

　　《美人鱼》The Mermaid

　　由知名导演周星驰执导，单单以周星驰的名字，这部电影几乎就能票房大卖。而该电影在今年 1 月一上映就立刻引发了争议。

　　Directed by well-known actor and director Stephen Chow, the film was almost ensured success in box office based on Chow's name.The film was released in January, and immediately ignited controversy.

　　大部分的批评都是针对电影情节和女主角演技。网上的影迷们广泛称其是"老套的包袱"。其次，女主角林允的演技也引发了巨大争议。

　　Most of the criticism came from its plots and the lead actress's performance. "Old bag of tricks" is the most common label that film viewers posted online. Also, the performance by actress Lin Yun, who played protagonist Shan Shan, was controversial.

　　《卧虎藏龙二︰青冥宝剑》Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny

　　作为李安的经典电影，《卧虎藏龙》（2000年）的续集，《卧虎藏龙二︰青冥宝剑》在上映前就备受公众关注。然而，一经上映该影片就迎来了大批非议。

　　As the sequel to Ang Lee's classic film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon(2000), The Green Destiny was highly anticipated by the public before its release. However, once it actually hit the screen, it was mocked.
