　　明星演而优则师当教师屡见不鲜，然而近日体而优则仕的邓亚萍担任中国政法大学兼职教授一事却引发热议。

　　The appointment of a former Olympic table tennis champion as an adjunct professor at the China University of Political Science and Law is stirring up controversy.

　　中国政法大学表示，聘请邓亚萍为兼职教授是为了提高该校乒乓球高水平运动队成绩，程序符合相关规定。

　　The university has backed its decision made early this month, saying a proper recruitment process has been followed. The school says Deng has been given the position to support the school's varsity table tennis team and forge a vibrant sports culture on campus.

　　一些法大校友对此提出质疑，有学生要求学校公开聘任决策程序，中国政法大学教授杨玉圣也呼吁校方慎重考虑。

　　However, an undergrad at the university is calling on school authorities to disclose their decision-making process, arguing an academic board should have been convened publicly to vote. Another professor at the University has also participated in protest of Deng's appointment.

　　乒乓女皇邓亚萍职业生涯连续2届4次夺得奥运会冠军，成为第一位蝉联奥运会乒乓球金牌的运动员，退役后留学英国并获得剑桥大学经济学博士学位，从学识、经历来看并不差。对此你有什么看法？

　　Deng Yaping became the first Chinese athlete to win four Olympic gold medals. After retiring from the national team, she acquired a number of academic distinctions, including her PhD from the University of Cambridge.
