　　8月6日 （当地时间）中国游泳运动员孙阳回应了澳大利亚400 米自由泳金牌得主麦克霍顿的"药物作弊"侮辱一事，孙阳表示参加奥运的每一位运动员都应受到尊重。

　　Chinese swimmer Sun Yang has responded to Australia's 400m freestyle gold medalist Mack Horton's "drug cheat" insult on August 6 (local time) saying that every athlete in the Olympic games should be respected.

　　在麦克霍顿击败孙杨赢得男子400 米自由泳比赛后的采访时称，“孙杨就是一名兴奋剂选手“。他还在赛后新闻发布会上重申这一言论，尽管孙杨当时就坐在他右边。而孙杨也直言不讳地地回应，“这是澳大利亚人的小伎俩。每一位能够来到奥运会的选手都应该受到尊重。”这不是第一次霍顿作出这样言论，但孙杨让不计前嫌，赛后握手向对方表示祝贺。

　　Mack Horton said "Sun Yang is just the drug cheat" during an interview, after beating Sun to win the just-concluded men's 400m freestyle race. He also repeated his comments regarding Sun during the post-match press conference, despite Sun sitting right next to him. Sun then bluntly responded, "That is just the gimmick of the Aussie swimmer. Every athlete in the Olympic Games is supposed to be respected." This is not the first time Mack Horton has made such comments, but Sun appeared to bury the past and tried to shake hands to express his congratulations after the match.

　　孙杨很快用实力证实了自己：北京时间8月9日上午，孙杨在里约奥运会男子200米自由泳决赛中夺冠，这也是中国代表团获得的奥运会泳池首金。

　　接下来，冤家路窄，孙杨和霍顿在北京时间8月13日凌晨1时52分举行的1500米自由泳比赛中，将在同一个小组出战。孙杨和霍顿都位于第五组。两人将从预赛展开直接对话。面对媒体追问能否在1500米自由泳中战胜霍顿时，孙杨霸气宣言：“我是泳池的王者，我已经进入新的世界！”。
