　　1956年6月7日，中国运动员首次打破世界纪录。今天，热爱体育和健身成了全民共识。中国各地正在掀起一股马拉松热潮，西方发达国家的“马拉松赛事现象”，已在中国悄然来临。中国人不仅热衷参加国内的马拉松，甚至跑出过门、积极参加国际赛事。

　　Marathons in China have hit a period of prosperity in recent years and the race calendar has ballooned. Chinese people now have a growing interest in marathons, as more are participating in various running events across the country or even abroad.

　　5月22日，第29届大连国际马拉松和2016盐城“悠佑绿世界”半程马拉松同一天开跑。如此密集的马拉松反映了人们开始注重健康的生活方式，越来越愿意从长跑中找到激情和释放压力，另一方面也反映了中国经济的迅速发展。

　　The Dalian International Marathon has kicked off on May 22 in northeast China's Liaoning Province. On the same day, a half marathon event was also held in the city of Yancheng in east China's Jiangsu Province.People find passion and joy in long-distance running.The surging number of marathon runners is due to China's economic development with people more than ever becoming keen on keeping fit and finding a way to relieve life pressure.

　　据统计，2015年在中国田径协会注册备案的马拉松及相关运动赛事达到了134场，增幅超过160%。按照赛事类别划分，全程马拉松53场、半程马拉松43场、10公里赛事13场、百公里赛事4场、其他距离赛事21场。从2010年的13场到如今的134场，全国马拉松赛事数量在五年的时间里增长了近10倍。预计2016年赛事的场次仍会增加，甚至可能超过200场。

　　The number of marathons and other running races hosted or co-hosted by the Chinese Athletics Association last year reached 134, which was a 160% increase compared to the year 2014.The 134 events included 53 marathons, 43 half-marathons and 13 10-kilometers, 83 more than the number in 2014.There were only a total of 13 marathons in 2010, and now it has increased ten-fold.People's passion for running is likely to continue with the association predicting more than 200 marathons to be staged across the country in 2016.

　　去年的赛事中，共吸引了130万人次参加比赛，参赛选手涵盖了国际上近90个国家与地区和全国各行各业的长跑爱好者。在认证赛事中，全马完赛人次为23万，半马完赛人次为33万，5公里赛人次为41万。

　　Among the total of 1.3 million runners from nearly 90 countries and regions joining in marathon races in China last year, 230,000 people took part in the full marathon, 330,000 competed their half-marathon, and the largest group of 410,000 people being with the 5-kilometer run.

　　1981北京马拉松赛是在中国举办的第一届马拉松赛事，当时只有86名选手报名参赛。然而在2013北京马拉松赛事中，3万个名额仅用13个小时全部报满。

　　When China's first international marathon was held in Beijing in 1981, only 86 people took part the race.However, in 2013, all the race slots for the Beijing marathon game were snapped up just 13 hours after the registration opened.

　　2015年，目前马拉松赛事已经涵盖了全部四大直辖市和全国23个省、自治区的79个城市，与去年相比城市数量上增加了34个。像北京、山东、江苏、上海等地去年已举办了10多场马拉松赛事。

　　The marathons in China have covered four municipalities and 79 cities in 23 provinces and autonomous regions, according to the Chinese Athletic Association. Five provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Zhejiang, hosted more than 10 marathon events respectively last year.
