　　Malacca, Malaysia 马六甲

　　Besides last year's airline tragedy, the city of Malacca is worth mentioning when talking on Malaysia.

　　马六甲是马来西亚的一个州, 州的首府也叫马六甲, 郑和下西洋有六次在此停靠。这里有地理书上大名鼎鼎的海上生命线咽喉马六甲海峡:

　　城里建筑: Stadthuys 荷兰红屋

　　荷兰红屋建于17世纪, 是东南亚地区现存最古老的荷兰式建筑物。3个世纪以来, 它一直是政府所在地, 1980年才改为博物馆, 保留了马六甲各个时期的历史遗物, 包括荷兰古兵器, 葡萄牙500年前的服装, 当然还有俗气的金银珠宝和婚嫁服饰。

　　Stadthuys is the old Dutch way of spelling "City Hall." It is an historical structure situated in the heart of Malacca City, in a place known as the Red Square. It was built by the Dutch settlers in 1650 as the office of the Dutch Governor and Deputy Governor.

　　荷兰式惹兰叻参红屋有厚厚的红砖墙, 笨重的硬木门, 门前是宽阔的石级。

　　St Paul's Church 圣保罗教堂

　　圣保罗教堂为葡萄牙人1521年所建建。著名传教士圣方济各葬于此, 教堂前有他的塑像。1670年荷兰人占领马六甲后, 将教堂用作城堡, 弹孔今天仍可见于外墙。1753年, 荷兰人另建了一座教堂, 而圣保罗教堂则做为荷兰贵族的墓地, 现在仍保留了一些刻有拉丁文和葡萄牙文的墓碑。

　　St Paul's Church is located on St Paul's Hill behind the Stadthuys.The original structure was a simple chapel built in 1521 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary and known as "Nossa Senhora da Annunciada" (Our Lady of Grace) or "Nossa Senhora do Oiteiro" (Our Lady of the Hill).

　　The chapel was built by a Portuguese nobleman, Duarte Coelho, as an act of gratitude following his escape from a storm in the South China Sea.

　　Angkor Wat ("Capital Temple") is a temple complex and the largest religious monument in the world.It was originally built as a Hindu temple for the Khmer Empire, gradually transforming into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one that has remained a significant religious center since its foundation.

　　The temple is regarded as the height of the classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia appearing on its national flag.

　　吴哥窟是世界上最大的庙宇。它原始的名字是Vrah Vishnulok, 意思为"毗湿奴的神殿", 中国佛学古籍称之为"桑香佛舍"。12世纪时, 吴哥王朝国王举全国之力, 花35年让这座宏伟的石窟寺庙在平川之上拔地而起, 成为国寺。

　　The 2000 movie "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" starring Angelina Jolie was shot here.古墓丽影呢~

　　Bayon Temple 巴戎寺

　　柬埔寨有一个古老而柔软的名字叫高棉

　　巴戎寺有49座巨大的四面佛雕像, 佛像为典型高棉人面容, 据说也是建造巴戎寺的神王阇耶跋摩七世的面容。佛像脸带安详的微笑, 这就是蜚声世界的 "高棉的微笑"。

　　Bayon Temple is also located in the centre of Angkor Wat. There are 49 huge Erawan statues, with typical Khmer faces, all smiling. Some say they have the appearance of King She Ye Bamo VII. Their serene smiles have famously become known as the "Khmer smile".

　　四面佛的四个面分别代表慈、悲、喜、舍, 一瞬间的悲喜一不小心就被凝铸。

　　笑容要么忧郁, 要么神秘, 要么莲花般宁谧, 据说看久了甚至不寒而栗。是不是这个世界上所有最迷人的微笑都难以捉摸，是不是人手做出来的雕像人心可以赋予意义？

　　The architecture is unlike the delicately-decorated temples you see in China. These are simply piles of stones, primitively placed and untouched for centuries.
