　　Task 1

　　Your foreign friend is visiting China, who is pretty concerned about the cost, so what would you say to him?

　　要答好这道题，我们首先要统一一下货币的单位，现在美元兑人民币的汇率大约是6.7。所以在答题的时候我们就可以用换算过的货币来进行。接下来就是考察大家数学心算口算水平的时间了。

　　When my foreign friend is coming to China, I would tell him something about the cost which he concerns. Firstly, transport. Transport in China is really cheap. Take Beijing for example, it only cost you 1/6 dollar and half a dollar to take bus or subway respectively to commute from one place to another. It is more convenient for him to buy a traffic card. If he wants to visit other cites, I highly recommend traveling by train which is cheaper. The price would be 10 to 100 US dollars due to where he goes. Secondly, food and beverage. If he wants to try the famous Beijing duck, he would spend probably 30-40 dollars on it. Generally, he can have a great meal within 5 dollars. When he is thirsty, it only cost 1 dollar to buy a nice bottle of drink and only 1/6 dollar to have a bottle of mineral water. The total cost depends on how long he stays and what cities he visits. But the expense in China wouldn’t be too much.

　　Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It’s impolite to make calls or send text messages on a diner table. Explain in details.

　　看到这道题之后，99%的同学都可能选择回答支持这个观点，虽然大家平时吃饭的时候也一直在打电话、发信息、刷朋友圈。

　　I agree that making calls or sending messages are impolite behaviors. Firstly, many young people work in big cities and can only meet their family once a year. It is such a precious moment for both you and your family to catch up with each other. If you keep your eyes on your phone, your family couldn’t talk with you and it would hurt their feeling. Secondly, many people working in companies have a lot of lunches or dinners with their business partners or clients. What you behave at the table may represent the image of your entire company. If you make phone calls or send messages, your partners or clients may think you don’t know the business ethics or you are unprofessional, both of which would have a bad influence on your relationship. We always say “work hard, play hard”. So when you have dinner or lunch with others, you’d better pay attention to your behavior and be a polite person.
