　　首先，当然是优美的校园环境。UCSB位于美国西岸沿海城市圣芭芭拉，坐落在号称“最美的自驾游路线”1号公路上，是少数坐落在海边且有私家海滩的大学之一。想象一下，一到周末，只要步行的距离，就能与阳光沙滩玩游戏，再重的学习压力也顿时就能被海风带走啦！而且因为在海边，圣芭芭拉的气候也是十分舒服宜人的，既不会像夏天的洛杉矶一样变成40度的大烤炉，又不会像冬天的三藩市一样冻成冰棍；更不会像洛杉矶一样的干燥和广州一样的潮湿。

　　其次，UCSB的学术成绩也是十分优秀的。最权威的美国大学排名，US News College Ranking 2015上显示UCSB是全国综合排名第40的学校，美国公立常春藤学校之一。据我所知，UCSB的物理、地理和海洋生物等科系都十分不错，在科研方面的成绩硕果累累，算上今年10月7日刚获得诺贝尔物理学奖的中村修二教授，我们学校已经有6位诺贝尔得奖者了，其他类别的奖项更是不计其数。最后要推荐UCSB的一大特点，就是轻松愉悦的校园气氛了。除了出色的学术成果，UCSB也被美国人笑称为全美“Party School”Top 3。的确，因为靠近海边，同学们自然也喜欢在课余时候参加聚会，去海边烧烤，打打沙滩排球之类的，这却正好证明了UCSB的学生们都有着美国学生的一大优点，Play hard and study hard。

　　另外，UCSB里也有中国学生学者联谊会（CSSA）和香港学生会（HKSA）等国人组织，校外也有好几家中餐和华人超市。让同学们在留学体验美国生活的同时，也能体验到亲人般的热情，品位到家乡般的味道。
